Gone Too Soon- The fall of an iconic legend

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the king's horses and all the king's men
Couldn't put Humpty together again.

Sooner or later this subject was bound to come up. On June 25, 2009 Michael Joseph Jackson passed away, for us devoted fans he was murdered. Why post this now you ask, well it just so happened I walked into Borders and saw a book about MJ called The Michael Jackson Tapes written by an old friend of Michael's Rabbi Shmuley Boteach. I read it in the store and it was a difficult and emotional read, you experience what he went through from his childhood and up until the unfortunate event.

Michael was a brilliant entertainer and the most caring man/humanitarian there was. He was loved and adored by millions but still at the end of the day he was lonely and misunderstood. I remember he stated that he didn't have many celebrity friends because they weren't ground and were all about the limelight, clubs, partying and drugs. Therefore he didn't have any one to confide in. Which made matters worse, these vicious pack of hounds called the tabloids spiraled out of controlled, and drove him into a dark deep depression. Eventually he relied on prescription drugs and got out of control.

What's sad is that everyone focused the microscopic personal details of his life rather than, the things he has accomplished.  Some might think the author is trying to make money off of MJ, okay who wouldn't. It gives you a raw insight on Michael and their friendship, he clarifies the rumors that have been going on for decades. I guess you can say this is as close as you will get to understanding Michael. He was the most genuine, caring selfless individual that really wanted to make a difference and change the world for the better. He will be forever remembered and was truly the King of Pop. RIP MJJ

Fascination with Vampires

TGIF and the Winter Olympics start today I'm ecstatic!!!

Okay on to the subject: Vampires. As I mentioned in my first blog I love reading and watching anything with vampires. From Bram Stoker's Dracula to The House of Night Series by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast. Why, well I can't answer that question for everyone. Yes don't get me wrong, they are sexually attractive but for me it feels like I'm sucked into an alternate reality and co-exist amongst them. Some view it as taboo my aunt being one of them, but I find it sensual and erotic, the way they feed and mate.I guess what I'm trying to say is that there is always a new twist, whether it is their methods of survival, how they die or what happens if they mate with a human, or can they reproduce. The possibilities are endless, some might think it's crazy but to each his own. With that being said I have two questions for you, 1.what's your story about vampires and 2.what is your favorite vamp book or series?

Welcome to my 1st blog

I'm Nataly a 27 year old virgin blogger from New York so bear with me. A friend of mine inspired me to take care of myself, I always put my friends first that I neglected myself. I'm there on the other end of the phone when they need someone to talk, complain, cry etc etc. but when it's my turn they are no where in site. So this year I'm making it about me, which I should of done long ago.
Here is a little something about me, I am a huge bookworm, I go through books like water. I love escaping from reality and living in someone else's shoes whether it be in the 1800s with Mr. Darcy, or modern day New York in a fictional city called Caldwell with a band of smoking hot vampires called the BlackDagger Brotherhood. Right now I'm indulging myself in The Perfect Manhattan, about a small town girl from Albany, New York who graduated recently from Columbia an Ivy League College in Manhattan. She wants to be a writer, but realizes the salary as an junior editor is lousy. Instead she makes it as a bartender raking in the cash, I digress. I love crocheting, cooking, and baking, I'm a movie geek, my top favorites are Fried Green Tomatoes, Beaches, Ferris Bueller (a classic), Dirty Dancing, The Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood, Bridget Jones and Chocolat gotta love that Johnny Depp. Well this is who I am a fun and simple girl from the city where the sky is the limit.
