Fascination with Vampires

TGIF and the Winter Olympics start today I'm ecstatic!!!

Okay on to the subject: Vampires. As I mentioned in my first blog I love reading and watching anything with vampires. From Bram Stoker's Dracula to The House of Night Series by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast. Why, well I can't answer that question for everyone. Yes don't get me wrong, they are sexually attractive but for me it feels like I'm sucked into an alternate reality and co-exist amongst them. Some view it as taboo my aunt being one of them, but I find it sensual and erotic, the way they feed and mate.I guess what I'm trying to say is that there is always a new twist, whether it is their methods of survival, how they die or what happens if they mate with a human, or can they reproduce. The possibilities are endless, some might think it's crazy but to each his own. With that being said I have two questions for you, 1.what's your story about vampires and 2.what is your favorite vamp book or series?

I love all things paranormal and vamps are one of them, but I don't love them the way I love werewolves. I don't know, maybe it's just the whole primal thing.
I've yet to read a vampire series (not even Anne Rice's stuff. I know, shocker.) so I can't answer the second question. What I find interesting about vampires is how they deal with the whole eternal life thing. Each story is different. Some vampires will always be douches from the time they turn until the end of days, others evolve, adapt, grow.
I may not read about vampires but I'll watch anything that has vampires, or even anything remotely close to a vampire. I even watched 30 Days of Night (incredibly disappointing by the way).
